Foresters Cap 2016 Season with NBC Tournament Win

August 13, 2016 Wichita, KS The Santa Barbara Foresters, the 2016 CCL Champions, beat the Hays Larks, the 2016 Champions of the Jayhawk League, 6-2 to claim the NBC World Series Championship tonight in Wichita, KS. It was the sixth time in the last eleven years the Foresters have won the NBC tournament, which ties the record for the most championships by a single team in the 82-yar history of the event, and it was a fitting end to the summer season for the CCL Champions as they won all six of their games at the tournament in Wichita after claiming their 21st league crown the week before in Compton by winning all three of their playoff games.
