All-CCL Team Announced; Kennedy & Demco MVPs

August 13, 2019 The CCL announced its 2019 All-League Team today and Eric Kennedy (Texas) the outfielder and leadoff man for the league champion Santa Barbara Foresters was named the league's Most Valuable Player, and Brad Demco (Oklahoma), the left-handed pitcher for the Santa Barbara Foresters, was named the Most Valuable Pitcher. Kennedy posted a league-best .400 batting average, led the league in hits (46), stolen bases (21), triples (3), was second in runs scored (28) and was in the top ten in both home runs (3) and RBI (18). Demco, arguably, had the best personal performance in the league this year. He finished league play without allowing an earned run, allowed only two hits in 18 and two-thirds innings, and struck out a league-best 35 batters.
