June 6, 2017 - La Mirada, CA The Southern California Catch capitalized on nearly every scoring opportunity as they scored eight runs on only seven hits to beat the Santa Barbara Foresters 8-4 today at Biola University. The Catch did most of their damage in the their first at bat, batting around in the frame while scoring five runs on five hits, all singles. Starting pitcher Chris Vargas (UC Irvine) held the Foresters scoreless for three innings, striking out three, before allowing two runs on a single and two doubles in the fourth, one to John Jensen (Santa Barbara CC), who would add a solo home run in the eighth. Jensen finished the game with three RBI to lead Santa Barbara, while the Catch were led by Grant Robbins (UNLV), two hits, and Anthony Seminaris (Arkansas-Ft. Smith), two RBI. Click for Game Reports
